Cuban Salsa
The man moves around the girl leading an amazing variety of flowing turns
Following the basic structure and the mans leads the girl does not need to know the
exact move he is dancing - this holds the promise of the unexpected and the exciting
as he finds new combinations to thrill her
Los Angeles Salsa
Based on Mambo it features many forward, backward and cross body leads which are
considered to be one of the most exciting trends in Salsa although it is a little more
demanding than Cuban Salsa
Columbian Salsa
A compact style of Salsa where the man remains static and features spins for the girl
Vallenato evokes the romantic serenade of a man to his lover
A 'trotting' rhythm identifies the classic Columbian style of Salsa
Merengue
A fun and flirtatious dance from the Dominican Republic
Many moves easily translate to and from Salsa and is danced to a simple 2 step rhythm
